I seek to understand how our experience is encoded in the nervous system, starting with simulation of the cortico-striatal system and the sequential structure of behavior, which led to the discovery of reservoir computing. I then extended this approach to neurolinguistic models that were validated in behavior, neurology, EEG & fMRI. We used these models to pilot human-robot cooperative interaction systems in several EU and ANR projects. We now extend these models (1) to construction of the self through narrative, and (2) language as a vector to introduce structured meaning into machine learning, with industrial applications for adaptive assistants (CIFRE), and memory assistants for the elderly.
